Mobile Yacht Club has a very active PHRF fleet. PHRF (the Performance Handicap Rating Fleet) is a handicapping system used for yacht racing which allows boats of different sizes and dimensions to compete on equal footing against each other based on the crew's skill and not individual boat design. PHRF helps us all to enjoy racing each other and can be as competitive as the annual Challenge Cup, where national and international champions from Gulf Coast yacht clubs compete, or as relaxed as Thursday Night Fun Races.
